A vast range of types – for the most diverse applications, operating conditions, drives and capacities – these turbines have a point in common – exhaust pressure above that of atmospheric pressure, an essential condition for the most varied industrial processes.
The extent of pressure goes from 5 kW (as in the case of small pumps) up to approximately 80,000 kW, depending on the operating conditions. They may be single stage turbines or multi stage turbines; the latter may incorporate extraction at intermediate pressures (between inlet and exhaust) according to need.
